Usage Guide

Usage Guide

1. Product Introduction
Forest day regular scented candles are made of 100% pure plant wax, natural essential oils and clean cotton wicks. Providing smokeless, clean burning and true-to-nature fragrance, our candles are designed for daily relaxation, reading and home ambiance. With soft, balanced and non-cloying scents, they bring gentle, calming atmosphere to everyday life.

2. First-Time Burning Rule (Critical)
The first burn determines your candle’s lifespan and burning quality.
1. Burn continuously for 2–3 hours for the first time until the entire wax surface melts evenly.
2. Insufficient first burn will cause tunnelling (memory ring), which permanently affects later burning.
3. Always trim the wick to 0.5cm before lighting for stable, clean burning.

3. Daily Usage Steps
1. Trim the wick to 0.5cm before every use.
2. Place the candle on a flat, stable and wind-free surface.
3. Use in a properly ventilated space.
4. Limit each burn to 2–4 hours; do not burn excessively long.
5. Extinguish with a candle snuffer or wick dipper. Do not blow out by mouth.
6. Allow full cooling before moving or covering the candle.

4. Candle Care Tips
1. Keep the wick trimmed to avoid black smoke and oversize flames.
2. Store in cool, dry places, away from direct sunlight and high temperature.
3. Keep the wax surface clean and free from dust or hair.
4. If tunnelling occurs, gently warm the wax surface evenly to fix irregular melting.

5. Safety Warnings (Important)
Prohibited Behaviours
❌ Never leave a burning candle unattended or overnight.
❌ Do not burn in strong wind or direct air conditioning flow.
❌ Keep away from curtains, paper, fabric and all flammable items.
❌ Keep out of reach of children and pets while burning.
❌ Do not blow out the candle by mouth.
❌ Do not burn until the wax is completely dry.

Precautions
1. Pregnant users, people with allergies or respiratory sensitivity are recommended to use briefly in ventilated areas or consult a doctor before use.
2. The jar becomes hot during burning — do not touch or move.
3. If black smoke, odd smell or flickering flame occurs, extinguish and trim the wick immediately.
4. Keep the lid closed when not in use to preserve fragrance and prevent dust.

6. FAQ
Why does tunnelling happen?
Caused by insufficient first-time burning. This is a usage issue rather than a product defect.

Why is there slight black smoke?
Caused by long wicks, wind or over burning. Trim the wick and avoid wind for clean burning.

Why does the scent intensity vary?
Scent throw is affected by temperature, ventilation and burn time, which is normal.
